LaBelle Black Heritage Festival

The LaBelle Black Heritage Festival is one of the community's most anticipated annual celebrations, bringing residents and visitors together to honor the rich history, culture, and contributions of African Americans in LaBelle and throughout Hendry County.

Held every third Saturday in May at Alton "Kid" Jones Park, the festival showcases the spirit of unity, pride, and community that has helped shape the area for generations. Families gather to enjoy a day filled with entertainment, cultural exhibits, local vendors, and activities designed for all ages.

The celebration extends beyond a single day. Throughout the week leading up to the festival, community members can participate in special events, including basketball tournaments, live music performances, and opportunities to experience local food and traditions. These activities create a welcoming atmosphere where friends, neighbors, and visitors can connect while celebrating a shared heritage.

Festival attendees can look forward to:

  • Cultural exhibits and community displays
  • Basketball tournaments and recreational activities
  • Food vendors featuring local favorites
  • Family-friendly activities for children and adults
  • Opportunities to learn about local history and heritage
  • Fun for all ages!

Each year, the LaBelle Black Heritage Festival serves as a reminder of the individuals, families, and community leaders whose contributions continue to make LaBelle a vibrant place to live, work, and play.

Bring your family, meet old friends, make new memories, and join us for a celebration of culture, community, and tradition. Come out and have some fun!
